Countdown to Paris shopping

Three more days and we'll be on our way to dancing the cancan and downing macaroons by the kilogram! (Maybe not the macaroons - I honestly don't understand the obsession.)

Pictures by my beloved who would most likely flog me for not crediting him.

On the agenda: good food (perhaps it's time to try snails?), art, and of course some shopping. To get in the mood I turned my list of stores-to-visit (mentioned in this post with basic tips on Paris shopping) into a Google Map. I also added some outlets thanks to the ever so knowledgeable Not Just A Pretty Dress. And of course, I wouldn't be the shopping philantropic I pretend to be if I didn't share this map with you. Here you go!

  1. Enjoy! (I do think snails are as overrated as macarons though)! : )

  2. Have a great trip !! I can't wait to read your post about you've found.
And yes, macarons are over-rated. You should definitely try frog legs though, haha.

By the way, I like your new header. It's simple and I like the font.
I liked the little drawing of the "shophopper" though... =)

    1. Funny, my boyfriend said the exact same thing on frog legs! And thank you, I felt it needed a change, maybe I'll incorporate the drawing sometime soon... But I'm so very uncreative, I'm such a design disaster!

  3. I hope you'll have a great trip and I look forward to the account of your 'mission'. I love snails (and macarons, but not the Pierre Herme, the taste is so weird that you actually forget what you're eating...). If you want a good brasserie to try escargots à la Bourguignonne, I would recommend Le Rousseau (45 Rue Cherche Midi): great food and strategically close to the Bon Marché...

Thank you for the kind mention...it's a pleasure sharing shopping tips!

  5. Seriously, I'm going to have to save this post as a bookmark or something. I'm 100% determined to go to Paris within the next 12 months. I'll need all of these tips. P.S. I've had snails. Soooo much an experience I would've rather skipped.
